Technical Description

The Doosan PUMA GT2600L is a 2-axis horizontal CNC turning center from the PUMA GT series, in the long-bed (L) version of the 10-inch GT2600 with an A2-8 spindle nose, a 10-station turret and a tailstock. Swing over the bed is 630 mm (24.8 in), with 460 mm (18.1 in) over the saddle. Maximum turning diameter is 460 mm (18.1 in) and maximum turning length is 1,078 mm (42.4 in). Bar working capacity is 81 mm (3.2 in). The main spindle runs to 3,500 rpm with an A2-8 spindle nose and a 91 mm (3.6 in) through hole, driven by a 22/18.5 kW (29.5/24.8 hp, 30-minute/continuous) motor. Axis travels are 265 mm (10.4 in) in X and 1,100 mm (43.3 in) in Z, with rapid traverse of 24 m/min in X and 30 m/min in Z. The 10-station turret (12 stations optional) takes 25 x 25 mm OD tools and 50 mm boring bars and indexes in 0.15 seconds. The tailstock travels 1,100 mm with a 100 mm quill, 100 mm of quill travel and an MT#5 live center. The machine occupies 3,735 x 1,630 mm (147.0 x 64.2 in) with a height of 1,720 mm (67.7 in) and weighs 5,700 kg (12,566 lb).
