Technical Description
The EMCO Hyperturn 665 MC Plus is a 7-axis twin-spindle, twin-turret CNC turn-mill center. Maximum turning diameter is 600 mm (23.6 in). The main spindle is an AC hollow-spindle design with an 86 mm (3.39 in) bore, a bar passage of 65 mm (2.56 in), speed to 5,000 rpm, and 29 kW (38.9 hp) nominal power; the synchronized counter spindle reaches 7,000 rpm with 22 kW (29.5 hp) of power. Two turrets each carry 12 driven VDI40 tool stations (24 total), giving full turn-mill capability on both spindles. Axis travel is X 280 mm / X2 205 mm, Y +/-50 mm (100 mm total), and Z/Z2/Z3 900/750/750 mm. The control is a Siemens 840D CNC. The machine is commonly fitted with an LNS bar-loading magazine, high-pressure coolant, and an air-conditioned electrical cabinet. Overall footprint is approximately 3,400 x 2,550 x 2,300 mm (133.9 x 100.4 x 90.6 in), and machine weight is approximately 9,500 kg (20,944 lb).
