Technical Description

The FEMCO HL-55/2000 is a two-axis CNC heavy-duty slant-bed chucking lathe. Swing over bed is 27.95 in, maximum turning diameter is 24.4 in, and maximum turning length is 42.12 in. The main spindle has an A2-11 nose, 5.2 in bore, speed to 2,500 rpm, and a 26 kW (34.9 hp) motor. A 15 in hydraulic 3-jaw chuck is fitted, with 4.53 in bar capacity. The 12-station servo turret indexes in 1 second. A hydraulic, programmable tailstock has a 3.54 in quill diameter, 4.72 in stroke, and MT-5 taper. Rapid traverse is 472 ipm (X) and 591 ipm (Z). The control is a Fanuc 0i-TD CNC. Power is 220V, three-phase, 60Hz.
