The Ganesh GTW-20 is a heavy-duty manual engine lathe engineered for precision and durability in demanding machining environments. Featuring a 20-inch swing over the bed and a 13-inch swing over the cross slide, this lathe provides ample capacity for a wide range of turning operations. The robust 10 horsepower, 3-phase spindle motor delivers high torque and efficient metal removal, supporting spindle speeds from 20 to 1,550 RPM across 12 geared speed ranges. The D1-8 camlock spindle includes a 3.125-inch bore, accommodating large-diameter workpieces and tooling. Hardened and ground TurciteĀ®-coated bed ways ensure smooth movement, excellent wear resistance, and superior vibration dampening for improved surface finishes and extended tool life. The lathe is equipped with hardened and ground gears for reliable power transmission and long-term accuracy. Safety features include a foot brake and a safety chuck guard to protect operators during operation. The gap-bed design allows for a 26-3/8-inch swing in the gap, enhancing versatility for larger workpieces. The machine offers precise thread cutting capabilities with a wide range of inch, metric, diametral, and module pitches, as well as automatic feed stops and a safety overload clutch to protect the feed shaft and gearing. The compound slide provides 10 inches of travel, and the 4-way tool post supports multiple tooling configurations. With a center height of 10 inches and a robust bed casting, the GTW-20 is ideal for shops requiring high-capacity, high-precision manual turning.
