Technical Description

The GEDEE WEILER LZ 330 G is a precision manual center lathe designed for conventional turning operations and small component machining. Featuring a 330 mm (13.0 inch) swing over bed with a 165 mm center height, this machine accommodates workpieces up to 330 mm in maximum turning diameter. The lathe accepts 800 mm (26.4 inches) between centers, providing adequate turning length for medium-sized components. Equipped with a 38 mm (1.7 inch) spindle bore and A2-5 spindle nose, the machine delivers spindle speeds up to 2,800 RPM with a powerful 4 HP motor. The swing over cross slide measures 180-190 mm (approximately 7.5 inches), enabling precise cross-feed operations for facing and grooving tasks. The machine incorporates an oil-bath-lubricated gearbox with hardened and ground gears, providing eighteen spindle speed options in both backgear and open belt drive modes. Power feed rates are available for both longitudinal and cross movements, with fine and ordinary settings to accommodate various machining requirements. The robust welded steel cabinet stand weighs approximately 950 kg (2,094.4 lbs) and includes integrated tool storage with a lockable double-shelved compartment and slide-out collet tray. Built with a manganese-chrome alloy steel spindle that is case-hardened and finish-ground, the LZ 330 G delivers reliable precision for mass production and second operation turning applications.
