Technical Description

The Haas SL-20 APL is a 2-axis CNC turning center with an automatic parts loader that loads raw stock, flips parts for second operations, and unloads finished parts unattended. Max cutting capacity is 10.3 x 20 in, max swing is 23 in over the front apron, and bar capacity is 2 in. The vector dual-drive spindle is rated 20 hp and 4,000 rpm max, with 154 ft-lb torque, A2-6 nose, and an 8 in hydraulic 3-jaw chuck. A 10-station turret is fitted. The APL uses a shaft gripper (parts up to 5 in dia) and a disc gripper (parts up to 7 in dia), each handling parts up to 15 lb.
