Technical Description

The Haas ST-10 is a compact two-axis CNC turning center from the redesigned ST Series. It uses a 6.5-inch hydraulic chuck on an A2-5 spindle nose with a 2.31-inch spindle bore and 1.75-inch bar capacity. The belt-driven spindle is rated at 15 hp and turns up to 6,000 rpm, with peak torque of 75 ft-lbf at 1,300 rpm. Maximum swing is 16.5 inches, maximum cutting diameter is 14.0 inches, and maximum cutting length is 16.0 inches. Axis travel is 7.9 inches in X and 16.0 inches in Z, with 1,200 ipm rapids and 3,300 lbf of thrust on both axes. Tooling is held in a standard 12-station bolt-on turret; a 12-station VDI turret is also offered. The machine runs the Haas Next Generation Control, which includes HaasConnect remote monitoring, Ethernet, WiFi, HaasDrop, rigid tapping, and 1 GB of program memory. Standard equipment also includes a 30-gallon coolant tank with variable flow coolant. The machine needs 220 VAC three-phase power at 40 full-load amps, or 440 VAC with the optional high-voltage transformer, plus 4 scfm of air at 100 psi. Shipping weight is 7,900 lb. Factory options include a hydraulic-quill tailstock, belt-type chip conveyor, high-pressure coolant, parts catcher, auto door, tool presetter, Haas Bar Feeder, and the Haas Auto Parts Loader.
