Specifications & Market Value

Technical Description
The Haas ST-20Y is a CNC turning center from the current Haas ST Series, built by Haas Automation in Oxnard, California. It carries an 8.3 in chuck on an A2-6 spindle nose with a 3.50 in spindle bore and 2.5 in bar capacity. The spindle is rated 20 hp and turns up to 4,000 rpm, with peak torque of 150 ft-lbf at 500 rpm. Maximum swing is 21.0 in, maximum cutting diameter is 11.75 in with the BMT65 turret, and maximum cutting length is 22.5 in (varies with workholding). Axis travel is 8.4 in on X, plus or minus 2.0 in on Y, and 22.5 in on Z. Tooling is held in a 12-station BMT65 live-tool turret. The Y axis and a C axis with 0.01 degree positioning allow off-center milling, drilling and tapping with live tools that run to 4,000 rpm. The machine runs the Haas Next Generation Control and holds 55 gallons of coolant. The installed footprint shown on the Haas layout drawing is 157 x 102 in including the chip conveyor, with a height of 79 in. Shipping weight is 10,480 lb. Haas lists a sub-spindle, tailstock, high-pressure coolant, parts catcher, tool presetter and bar feeder among the options.
