2019 HAAS ST55 CNC LATHES
Specifications & Market Value

Technical Description
The Haas ST-55 is a heavy-duty, large-bore 2-axis CNC turning center built for oilfield pipe and fittings, large couplers and long rollers. Its spindle has a 12.5 in (318 mm) through-bore, with A1-20 spindle noses at both the front and rear so chucks can be mounted at each end for twin-chuck pipe work. Maximum cutting capacity is 25.5 in diameter by 80 in length (648 x 2032 mm). Swing is 34.5 in (876 mm) over the front apron and 25.5 in (648 mm) over the cross slide. A 55 hp (41 kW) vector dual-drive powers the spindle through a Haas-built two-speed gearbox, giving 4,250 ft-lb (5,762 Nm) of torque in low gear and a maximum speed of 1,000 rpm in high gear. The hydraulically clamped 12-station bolt-on turret accepts 7.25 in split boring bar holders and standard BOT holders. A servo-driven tailstock with MT6 taper is standard, and a steady rest provision is available. Standard equipment includes rigid tapping, a color remote jog handle, a 15 in color LCD monitor and USB connectivity. The Haas control offers the Intuitive Programming System with threading and rethreading cycles for straight and tapered threads. The rear chuck area is enclosed, with a sliding door and swinging end panel for crane loading of pipe.
