2008 HAAS TL4 CNC LATHES
Specifications & Market Value

Technical Description
The Haas TL-4 is a large big-bore flat-bed CNC lathe built by Haas Automation in Oxnard, California, aimed at oilfield, pipe and long-shaft work. It has an A1-20 spindle nose with a 10.81 in. spindle bore, driven by a 55 hp motor through a two-speed gearbox to a maximum of 500 rpm, producing 4,000 ft-lb of torque. Front and rear chucks let long tubular stock be gripped at both ends of the headstock. Swing over the apron and maximum turning diameter are both 35 in., with 16 in. swing over the cross slide, 91 in. between centers and a maximum turning length of 80 in. X-axis travel is 18 in. and Z-axis travel is 80 in., with rapids of 150 ipm and 320 ipm. Tools mount on a four-position tool post, and a heavy-duty tailstock with an MT-5 quill supports long workpieces. Like the smaller Haas toolroom lathes, it runs on the Haas CNC control with the Intuitive Programming System, rigid tapping and spindle orientation, and was commonly supplied with steady rests and a chip conveyor.
