THE HARRISON/600GROUP "ALPHA 400 PLUS" IS A GAP-TYPE 2-AXIS COMBINATION MANUAL/CNC LATHE. IT FEATURES HARRISON GE/FANUC "ALPHA" CNC CONTROLS AND IS DESIGNED FOR VERSATILE TURNING APPLICATIONS. KEY SPECIFICATIONS INCLUDE A 15.75" (400 MM) SWING OVER THE BED, EXPANDABLE TO 23" (585 MM) IN THE REMOVABLE GAP, AND A DISTANCE BETWEEN CENTERS OF 50" (1250 MM). THE MACHINE IS EQUIPPED WITH A 10" 3-JAW CHUCK ON A D1-6 CAMLOCK SPINDLE NOSE, FEATURING A 2.1" (54 MM) SPINDLE BORE DIAMETER. POWER IS DELIVERED BY A 10 HP (7.5 KW) MOTOR, ENABLING A SPINDLE SPEED RANGE OF 15 TO 2500 RPM. TRAVEL LIMITS ARE 9.8" (250 MM) FOR THE X-AXIS AND 50" (1250 MM) FOR THE Z-AXIS, WITH RAPID TRAVERSE RATES UP TO 240 IPM. THE TAILSTOCK FEATURES A 5 MT TAPER AND 5.5" (140 MM) QUILL TRAVEL.
