Technical Description
The Hyundai WIA L400LMC is a heavy-duty, long-bed CNC turning center with live tooling and C-axis control. It uses a 45-degree slant bed with box guideways on all axes. The main spindle has an A2-11 nose, a 15-inch hollow chuck, a 130 mm (5.1 in) spindle bore and 117 mm (4.6 in) bar capacity, and is driven by a belt and two-step gearbox up to 2,000 rpm. The spindle motor is rated 37 kW (49.6 hp) for 30 minutes and 30 kW continuous. A big-bore option (A2-15 nose, 181 mm bore, 18 or 21-inch chuck, 1,500 rpm) and a gearless spindle option were offered. Swing over the bed is 725 mm (28.5 in), maximum turning diameter is 560 mm (22 in) and maximum turning length is 2,100 mm (82.7 in). X/Z travel is 320/2,200 mm with 20 m/min rapid traverse on both axes. The 12-station BMT75P turret takes 32 mm square OD tools and 63 mm boring bars, with 4,000 rpm live tools rated 7.5/5.5 kW. A built-in tailstock with an MT#5 quill travels 2,100 mm. The standard control is Fanuc 32i-B, with Hyundai WIA Fanuc i Series or Siemens 828D as options. Floor space is 5,440 x 2,244 mm, height 2,139 mm and weight 11,000 kg.
