The J&M TL1980T is a heavy-duty manual lathe engineered for precision metal working operations on large workpieces. With a maximum swing of 1,980 mm (78.0 inches) over the bed, this machine accommodates substantial cylindrical components with a maximum workpiece weight capacity of 10 tons. The spindle bore measures 130 mm (5.1 inches) with a metric 140# taper, providing secure tool holding and excellent concentricity. The swing over cross slide reaches 1,500 mm (59.1 inches), enabling wide access for complex turning operations. This lathe features variable spindle speeds ranging from 3.15 to 315 r/min with forward and reverse capability across 33 total speed selections.
