Technical Description

The Maxxturn 110 is a precision CNC turning center engineered for economical production of complex turned and milled components. This versatile machine accommodates bar stock up to 3.15 inches in diameter and delivers a maximum turning diameter of 11.97 inches with a machining length of 5.31 inches, making it suitable for mid-range workpiece dimensions. The machine features a robust 110 mm spindle bore and operates at speeds up to 3500 rpm with maximum drive power of 33 kW, delivering 800 Nm of torque for demanding cutting operations. Equipped with a 12+12 tool turret system, the lathe enables rapid tool changes and flexible machining sequences, while 12 driven tools support advanced multi-axis operations. The rapid motion speeds of 24 m/min in X-axis, 12 m/min in Y-axis, and 30 m/min in Z-axis ensure efficient cycle times. An optional BMT-turret with water-cooled direct drive provides enhanced milling and drilling performance, reaching 6000 rpm with 45-62 Nm torque and 15-22 kW power for high-speed operations. The machine incorporates an automatic tailstock with selectable quill travel (150-250 mm) and MK5/MK6 inner cone options, accommodating various workholding requirements. Its inherent structural rigidity and precision linear motion systems minimize variation during operation, enabling tight tolerance production comparable to precision turning standards. The CNC control system automates tool positioning and selection, facilitating unmanned operation and superior repeatability for batch production environments.
