The CA6280B is a heavy-duty horizontal lathe designed for precision metal turning operations on large-diameter workpieces. This machine features an 800mm (31.5-inch) swing over bed, enabling the machining of components with substantial diameters. The lathe accommodates workpiece lengths of up to 3000mm (118 inches) between centers, with a maximum turning length of 600mm, making it suitable for extended shaft and cylindrical work. The spindle bore measures 105mm (approximately 3.15 inches) with a D11 taper configuration, allowing for secure mounting of large-diameter bar stock. Operating at a spindle speed range of 16 to 1,400 RPM across 24 steps, the CA6280B provides versatile cutting speeds for various materials and operations. The swing over the cross slide reaches 540mm (21.3 inches), facilitating access to workpieces in the gap area.
