A+Technical Description
The MAXSEE FW-845 is a precision wire electrical discharge machining (EDM) system engineered for high-accuracy cutting of conductive materials. This flush-type machine features X, Y, and Z travel capabilities of 31.5, 17.7, and 11.8 inches respectively, complemented by U and V rotary axes for advanced taper angle machining up to ±15 degrees. The machine accommodates workpieces up to 600 kilograms with maximum dimensions of 1350 x 850 x 300 millimeters. Equipped with a Windows CE-based CNC control system, the FW-845 features a 15-inch full-color touch screen interface with multiple data input options including keyboard, USB, Ethernet, and RS-232 connectivity. The control system provides exceptional precision with a minimum command unit of 0.001 millimeters and supports five controlled axes. Wire diameter capabilities range from 0.15 to 0.3 millimeters with a maximum feed rate of 400 millimeters per second and wire tension rated at 2000 grams-force. The machine utilizes FC35 fine-grain cast-iron construction for rigid stability, minimizing thermal distortion during extended operations. An integrated fluid supply unit with 420-liter tank capacity maintains automatic temperature and conductivity control through ion-exchange resin filtration. The dual trace system employing 1-micrometer linear scales ensures superior surface finish quality and dimensional accuracy. Powered by a 3-phase 15 kilowatt power supply at 220V/380V, this machine delivers reliable performance for precision die and mold manufacturing applications.
