Technical Description
The Mazak INTEGREX i-100ST is a compact multi-tasking machine that combines a turning center with a 5-axis machining center, with a second turning spindle for complete machining in one setup. The main and second spindles each take a 6 in chuck, run to 6,000 rpm and are driven by 11 kW (15 hp) motors rated 7.5 kW (10 hp) continuous. Each has an A2-5 nose and a 2.4 in bore, and bar capacity is 2 in. The milling spindle runs to 12,000 rpm with a 7.5 kW (10 hp) motor and tilts on a B-axis from -30 to 210 degrees. It is fed by a 36-tool automatic tool changer with HSK-A63 tooling. A 9-station lower drum turret can cut on either spindle, so two tools can work at the same time. Maximum swing is 20.9 in, maximum machining diameter is 19.7 in and maximum machining length is 33.62 in. Travels are 17.72 in X, 8.27 in Y and 35.59 in Z, with rapid traverse of 1,575 ipm on X, Y and Z. Machines of this generation use the MAZATROL SmoothX CNC. The machine is 119.29 in wide by 103.74 in long, 98.5 in high, and weighs 22,266 lb.
