Technical Description

The Mazak QT-20HP (Quick Turn 20) is a 2-axis CNC slant-bed turning center with a Mazatrol T-Plus conversational control. The spindle uses an A2-8 nose with a 3.15 in bore and 2.75 in bar capacity, running at speeds up to 4,000 rpm from a 20 hp (30-minute rating) spindle motor. Standard holding is a 10 in 3-jaw hydraulic chuck. Maximum swing is 17.32 in over the bed, with 11.81 in maximum cutting diameter. X-axis travel is 7.125 in, with rapid traverse of 1,200 ipm on X and 1,300 ipm on Z. Tooling is an 8-station turret, and a programmable tailstock with an MT#4 center and 5.12 in of quill travel is standard. Overall machine footprint is approximately 105 x 68.5 x 73.1 in.
