Technical Description
The Mazak QUICK TURN 250MSY is a slant-bed CNC turning center from Mazak's QUICK TURN series, introduced in 2016 and built by Mazak in Florence, Kentucky. It has two turning spindles, a rotary-tool turret and a Y-axis, so parts can be turned, milled, drilled and tapped on both ends in one setup. The second spindle carries a 6 in chuck, runs to 6,000 rpm and is rated 11 kW (15 hp). Maximum swing is 27 in, maximum machining diameter is 14.75 in and bar capacity is 3 in. The machine is offered with a 20 in (500U) bed, giving a 21 in maximum machining length, or a 40 in (1000U) bed, giving a 36 in maximum machining length. The direct-drive 12-position turret accepts rotary tools and VDI or bolt-on tooling. Travels are 9 in on X and 4 in on Y. At its launch the machine was supplied with the MAZATROL SmoothG CNC.
