A+Technical Description
The Mazatrol 640T CNC Control is a robust and versatile control system designed for high-precision turning operations on Mazak lathes. This control features an intuitive interface that streamlines programming and operation, supporting both Mazatrol conversational and EIA/ISO programming modes. The machine offers an X-axis travel of 9.00" and a Z-axis travel of 22.63", with a distance between centers of 23" and a maximum swing over the bed of 26.50". The maximum cutting or turning diameter is 14.75", allowing for a wide range of workpiece sizes. Rapid traverse rates are 1181 IPM on the X-axis and 1299 IPM on the Z-axis, ensuring fast and efficient tool movement. The bar capacity is 2.50", suitable for bar-fed applications. The main spindle is equipped with an 8.0" chuck, a 3.00" spindle bore, and a spindle nose of A2-6, capable of speeds up to 5,000 RPM. A second spindle is available with a 6.0" chuck, also featuring an A2-6 spindle nose and a maximum speed of 6,000 RPM, enabling advanced multitasking and secondary operations. Live milling capability is supported with a maximum RPM of 4,500, allowing for complex milling and drilling operations directly on the lathe. This configuration is ideal for shops requiring high-speed, high-accuracy turning and milling in a compact footprint.
