2023 MIYANO BNA42S2 CNC LATHES
Specifications & Market Value

Technical Description
The Miyano BNA-42S2 is a compact fixed-headstock CNC turning center for bar work, with a main spindle, a sub-spindle and one turret. The main spindle takes 42 mm (1.65 in) bar, runs to 6,000 rpm on a 7.5 kW (10 hp) motor, 5.5 kW continuous, and carries a 5 in power chuck; its draw tube is 43 mm. The sub-spindle runs to 5,000 rpm on a 5.5 kW motor and moves on a B axis with 310 mm of stroke for pick-off and back machining. Both spindles have C-axis control and rigid tapping. The 8-station turret has half indexing and all 8 stations take live tools, driven single-clutch at up to 5,000 rpm by a 2.8 kW motor. It takes 3/4 in square turning tools and 1 in drill shanks, and double, triple and quad holders increase the tool count. Turret strokes are 135 mm in X and 235 mm in Z, with 20 m/min rapids, and standard machining length is 100 mm. The bed is a platform structure with hand-scraped square slideways. A part catcher, part conveyor and chip conveyor are standard. The 2019 build uses a FANUC 0i-TD control with Miyano machining support screens. The machine occupies 2,150 x 1,290 mm, stands 1,660 mm high and weighs 6,173 lb.
