The Monarch Series 91 Manual Lathe is a heavy-duty engine lathe designed for large-scale machining with a 48" swing over bed and 36" swing over cross slide, enabling precision work on substantial components. It features a 132" distance between centers, accommodating long workpieces. The spindle boasts a 4 1/16" bore with a No. 7 Morse taper and a No. 450 American Standard taper, supported by precision tapered roller bearings and an 11" D-1 American Standard Camlock spindle nose. The lathe is equipped with 36 spindle speeds ranging from 6 to 750 RPM, allowing versatile machining operations. The leadscrew has a diameter of 2 1/2" with 2 threads per inch, supporting thread cutting from 1/2 to 28 TPI and feed rates from 0.0035" to 0.196" per revolution.
