Technical Description

The Mori Seiki SL-3 is a slant-bed CNC lathe from Mori Seiki's early SL series, built in the late 1970s and 1980s in several versions including the SL-3B and SL-3H. It swings 22.4 in over the bed and takes a 10-inch standard chuck. The machine is a single-spindle, two-axis chucking lathe with a turret toolholder; turret size differs between versions and listings (10 or 12 stations). Controls on used machines are Fanuc-built, such as the Fanuc 6T, 10T and 11T. Spindle speed, spindle bore, motor rating, footprint and weight differ between versions and build years and are not stated here.
