NEXTURN SA 38 HORIZONTAL MACHINING CENTER

The NEXTURN SA 38 Horizontal Machining Center is a high-precision CNC Swiss-type lathe designed for complex, multi-axis machining of small to medium-sized parts. It features a main spindle with a maximum turning diameter of 1.500" and a maximum turning length of 8.260", capable of speeds up to 8,000 RPM and powered by a 10 HP motor. The main spindle chuck and bar diameter are both rated at 1.000". The sub-spindle matches the main spindle’s turning diameter and also operates at 8,000 RPM, driven by a 3 HP motor. The machine is equipped with two main spindles, each with 10 HP and 8,000 RPM capability, and both spindles offer precise indexing. The tooling system includes a front slide primary carrier supporting up to 5 turning tools and 4 rotary tools (1.5 HP, 8,000 RPM), and a front face secondary carrier with up to 3 turning tools and 2 rotary tools. The system allows for 2 simultaneous cutting tools. Secondary milling and drilling functions are standard, both on-center and off-center, with full support for C-axis and Y-axis operations. The machine operates on 7 controlled axes, enabling advanced simultaneous machining operations for improved accuracy and efficiency in high-volume production environments.
