Technical Description

The Okuma LB3000 EX II MYW is a slant-bed CNC turning center from the SPACE TURN LB EX II series, built with a main spindle, a right-hand sub-spindle, a Y-axis and an M-V12 turret with live tooling. The main spindle has a JIS A2-6 nose, an 80 mm (3.15 in) bore and a 45 to 5,000 rpm range, driven by a 22/15 kW (30/20 hp, 30 min/continuous) PREX motor; Big-Bore (91 mm, 4,200 rpm) and Super Big-Bore (110 mm, 2,800 rpm) spindles and a 30/22 kW high-power motor were options. The sub-spindle runs 50 to 6,000 rpm with an 11/7.5 kW motor, a 62 mm bore and a 6-inch chuck. The 12-station turret indexes in 0.1 second, and the milling spindle runs 45 to 6,000 rpm at 7.1/4.1 kW. Swing over bed is 580 mm (22.83 in) and maximum turning diameter is 340 mm (13.39 in). On the x800 version the distance between spindle noses is 1,085 mm (42.72 in) and Z travel is 1,010 mm. Y-axis travel is 115 mm (+70 to -45 mm), and rapid traverse is 25 m/min on X, 30 m/min on Z and 12.5 m/min on Y. The control is the Okuma OSP-P300LA. The x800 machine is 2,455 mm tall, occupies 3,844 x 2,065 mm of floor space with the side-discharge L-type tank and weighs 6,850 kg with the CNC.
