A+Technical Description
The ONA AV100 Wire EDM machine is a high-precision CNC-controlled wire electrical discharge machine designed for robust and accurate cutting of complex geometries. It features a maximum workpiece dimension of approximately 76.8 inches (1950 mm) in length, 63 inches (1600 mm) in width, and 23.6 inches (600 mm) in height, with a maximum allowable workpiece weight of up to 10,000 kg. The machine’s U/V axes travel extends to 500 x 500 mm, allowing flexibility in conical and taper cutting angles with an optional maximum cutting cone angle of ±45°, standard at ±30° over 400 mm. Precision is enhanced by direct position measurement on all axes, enabling extremely fine control down to 0.0001 mm and 0.001° increments. The generator supports cutting speeds up to 450 mm²/min using wire diameters between 0.20 mm and 0.33 mm (XCC type), allowing efficient machining with excellent surface finish achieving roughness values as low as 0.1 µm Ra. The ONA AV100 integrates intelligent generator technology for automatic adjustment to optimize wire life and cutting verticality. A large 22-inch TFT color touchscreen CNC control system with 8GB RAM memory provides advanced programming capabilities, remote control, and flat anti-dirt keyboard for ease of operation. The machine includes filtration with dual paper cartridges and dielectric fluid capacities tailored for high-efficiency machining. Overall, the ONA AV100 is engineered for demanding industrial applications requiring high accuracy, large workpiece capacity, and flexible taper cutting, making it suitable for die making, aerospace, automotive, and precision tooling sectors.
