The PANTHER 1350 / 1 Manual Lathe is a robust, all-geared precision lathe designed for heavy-duty metal turning, shaping, and threading operations in industrial environments. With a swing over bed of 13.19 inches (335 mm) and a center height of 21.26 inches (540 mm), it provides ample capacity for a wide range of workpiece sizes. The spindle bore measures 1.65 inches (42 mm), allowing for the passage of larger bar stock, while the swing over cross slide is 7.87 inches (200 mm), ensuring flexibility in tool positioning. Powered by a 2.01 HP motor, the lathe delivers reliable performance with a maximum spindle speed of 1,250 RPM, enabling efficient machining across various materials. The lathe bed is constructed from Grade-20 casting, flame-hardened and ground to achieve a hardness of over 300 BHN, ensuring durability and long-term accuracy. The headstock spindle is hardened and ground, running on anti-friction taper roller bearings for smooth operation and reduced wear. Features include a drop worm arrangement for instant engagement and disengagement of power feed, a shear pin coupling for overload protection of the lead screw, and a safety clutch to prevent feed overload. The universal gearbox supports a wide range of inch and metric threads and feeds, enhancing versatility.
