Technical Description

The Poreba TPK-80/3M manual lathe is a heavy-duty engine lathe designed for large workpieces and precision machining. It features a 32" swing over the bed, 42" swing in the gap, and 20.8" swing over the cross slide, accommodating diameters up to 42" in the gap area. The lathe supports a maximum distance between centers of 120" (10 feet), enabling machining of long components. Its spindle offers speeds from 8 to 800 RPM, powered by a robust 25 HP motor, with an A1-11 spindle nose and a 3 3/4" hole through spindle for versatile tooling. Threading capabilities span from 1/4 to 30 TPI (inch) and 1 to 120 mm (metric). The machine provides feed rates ranging from 0.0043" to 0.500", complemented by a 16" cross slide travel and an 11 3/4" tailstock quill travel, which features a #6 Morse taper for tooling versatility.
