A+Technical Description
This CNC lathe features a robust 7.4 hp motor, delivering reliable power for demanding turning operations. With a maximum spindle speed of 2,500 RPM, it ensures high productivity and precision across a wide range of materials. The machine offers a swing of 15.75 inches and a machining length of 39.37 inches, accommodating large workpieces with ease. The 8-inch chuck provides secure workholding for various part sizes, while the turning diameter reaches up to 7.87 inches, supporting versatile machining tasks. Equipped with the GSK980TD CNC control system, the lathe delivers advanced automation and accuracy. The GSK980TD controller supports up to 5-axis control with 5-axis linkage for linear interpolation and 2-axis linkage for circular interpolation, enabling complex part geometries. It features a comprehensive set of G-codes—69 in total—covering rapid positioning, linear and circular interpolation, thread cutting, rigid tapping, tool compensation, and macro programming. The system supports both absolute and incremental programming, diameter/radius programming, and inch/metric conversion. Feed rates range from 0 to 15,000 mm/min with real-time magnification adjustment, while rapid traverse reaches up to 100,000 mm/min. Thread cutting capabilities include metric and imperial threads with pitch ranges from 0.01 mm to 1000 mm and 0.06 to 2540 tooth/inch, respectively. The spindle speed can be set via S-code or PLC signal, with override from 50% to 120%. The integrated PLC supports up to 5 axes and provides flexible control for automation and auxiliary functions. This combination of mechanical performance and advanced CNC control makes the lathe ideal for high-precision, high-efficiency turning applications.
