CONSTRUCTED WITH A ONE-PIECE MEEHANITE CASTING BED FOR SUPERIOR VIBRATION DAMPENING AND RIGIDITY, IT IS EQUIPPED WITH A 7.5 HP SPINDLE MOTOR AND A 12-SPEED GEARBOX PROVIDING A RANGE OF 40 TO 2,000 RPM. THE MACHINE FEATURES A D1-8 CAMLOCK SPINDLE WITH A 3.18 INCH BORE, WHICH IS EXCEPTIONALLY LARGE FOR THIS SIZE OF LATHE, ALLOWING FOR THE MACHINING OF 3 INCH DIAMETER OIL PIPES. FOR VERSATILE WORKHOLDING, IT INCLUDES A REMOVABLE GAP THAT INCREASES THE SWING TO 25.5 INCHES FOR SHORT, LARGE-DIAMETER WORKPIECES. THE HEADSTOCK GEARS ARE MADE FROM HARDENED AND GROUND CHROME-MOLY MATERIAL, SUPPORTED BY HIGH-PRECISION MATCHED ANGULAR CONTACT BEARINGS. TECHNICAL CAPABILITIES INCLUDE A SWING OVER THE CROSS SLIDE OF 8.75 INCHES, 12.5 INCHES OF GAP WIDTH, AND A TAILSTOCK WITH A 2.28 INCH QUILL DIAMETER AND MT #4 TAPER.
