Technical Description

The SKODA FCW 150 is a robust Horizontal Floor Type Boring Mill featuring a substantial 150 mm (5.91 inches) spindle diameter. This machine delivers high performance, driven by a main motor providing 52 kW (approximately 69.7 HP) and supporting a spindle speed range up to 3,000 RPM. Designed for precision, the boring mill is compatible with a 7:24 – DIN 69871 ISO 50 clamping taper. Its operational reach is significant, offering a sleeve extension (W axis) of 900 mm and a Z-axis extension of 1,200 mm, resulting in a combined W + Z extension of 2,100 mm. The heavy-duty column travel in the X-axis starts from 1,500 mm, and the maximum headstock travel in the Y-axis is 5,000 mm. The machine’s construction is based on a sturdy Grey cast iron structure (GG 30 DIN), ensuring stability and longevity. Guiding features include hardened guiding ribs for X-axis travel and a HEIDENHAIN linear scale for precise X-axis measurement.
