Technical Description
The Å KODA HCW 1000 Horizontal Boring Mill is a robust machine designed for precision machining, featuring a 5.12-inch (130 mm) spindle diameter and powered by a 49.6 HP (37 kW) main motor, delivering a maximum torque of 2,500 Nm. The spindle achieves speeds ranging from 2 to 3,000 RPM (U/min) with ISO 50 clamping, and offers a W-axis spindle extension of 900 mm (35.43 inches). Travel capacities are extensive, accommodating column travel (Z-axis) up to 2,500 mm, headstock traverse (Y-axis) up to 3,000 mm, and turntable travel (X-axis) spanning 2,500 mm to 6,000 mm. The machine features rapid travel rates of 15,000 mm/min in the X, Y, and Z axes, and 10,000 mm/min for the W-axis. It is equipped with CNC control and can handle a maximum loading of 12,000 kg on its turntable, which has plate dimensions up to 1,800 x 2,200 mm. The headstock includes a temperature-stabilized, two-speed gear unit, and the axes have substantial feed forces of 30,000 N. Tooling standards include ISO 50 spindle taper and DIN 69871 tool shank, complemented by a head turning capability of 0 to 360 degrees.
