The SMTCL CA6150A is a precision manual lathe engineered for versatile metal turning operations. Featuring a maximum swing diameter of 500mm (19.6 inches) over the bed and 300mm (11.7 inches) over the cross slide, this machine accommodates workpieces up to 2000mm in length. The spindle delivers speeds ranging from 11-1600 RPM across 24 steps, powered by a 7.5kW (10 HP) motor, enabling efficient material removal for steel, cast iron, and nonferrous metals. The lathe incorporates a 52mm (2.04-inch) spindle bore with MT6 taper and an A6 spindle nose configuration, providing robust tool holding capabilities. Its 400mm bed width features intermediate frequency quenching to a depth of 4mm, ensuring exceptional stiffness and wear resistance. The compound rest swings 90 degrees with a maximum cross travel of 320mm on the lower slide and 140mm saddle travel, accommodating 25x25mm tool shanks. Threading capabilities include 44 metric thread pitches (1-192mm), 21 inch threads (2-24 TPI), 39 modular threads (0.25-48 module), and 37 pitch threads (1-96 DP).
