THIS MODEL FEATURES A 16-INCH SWING OVER THE BED AND A 40-INCH DISTANCE BETWEEN CENTERS, PROVIDING AMPLE CAPACITY FOR MEDIUM TO LARGE-SCALE WORKPIECES. THE HEADSTOCK IS EQUIPPED WITH A 2.25-INCH SPINDLE BORE AND A D1-6 CAMLOCK SPINDLE NOSE, SUPPORTING SPINDLE SPEEDS RANGING FROM 30 TO 980 RPM VIA A BACK-GEARED EIGHT-SPEED DRIVE SYSTEM. ADDITIONAL TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS INCLUDE A 10.5-INCH CROSS SLIDE TRAVEL, A NO. 3 MORSE TAPER TAILSTOCK WITH 5.75 INCHES OF SPINDLE TRAVEL, AND A 2-AXIS NEWALL DIGITAL READOUT (DRO) FOR ENHANCED POSITIONING ACCURACY. BUILT ON A RIGID, SEMI-STEEL BED WITH THREE V-WAYS AND ONE FLAT WAY, THE LATHE IS TYPICALLY POWERED BY A 1.5 TO 2 HP MOTOR CONFIGURED FOR 460V OPERATION. THE UNIT OCCUPIES A FOOTPRINT OF APPROXIMATELY 8FT X 4FT X 5FT AND HAS A SHIPPING WEIGHT OF APPROXIMATELY 3,000 TO 4,000 LBS.
