A+Technical Description
This CNC lathe features a 12" chuck and 26" swing over bed, with a machining length of 70" and 12" height of centers, accommodating bar stock up to 4.1" diameter. Powered by a 15 HP motor, it delivers spindle speeds ranging from 40 to 1,800 RPM across two ranges, with a maximum turning diameter of 14.5". The machine includes a tailstock with an 8.5" quill travel and a 3.5" quill diameter tapering to MT#5, enhancing support for long workpieces. Its spindle assembly incorporates a D1-8 spindle nose, 4.09" bore through hole, MT#8 taper, and two precision bearings, with a front bearing diameter of 5.51". Rapid traverse rates reach 400 IPM on the Z axis and 200 IPM on the X axis, supported by a 14.57" wide bed for stability. Lubrication is ensured by a 2-liter way lubrication oil pump and a 5.3-gallon headstock lubrication reservoir. The 15-gallon coolant reservoir supports extended operations. Control is managed by the intuitive ProtoTRAK SLX CNC system, a two-axis CNC and DRO platform with electronic handwheels, a 10.4" color active-matrix display, and flexible manual or CNC operation. This configuration offers precision, power, and user-friendly control ideally suited for a variety of turning applications requiring high accuracy and efficient workflow.
