The STAR SV-32 is a Swiss-type CNC automatic lathe engineered for precision machining of small-diameter components. This horizontal machining center features a main spindle with a maximum turning diameter and bar capacity of 1.250 inches (32mm) and a maximum turning length of 12.200 inches (310mm), operating at up to 7,000 RPM with 10 HP output. The machine is equipped with synchronized opposing spindles, including a sub-spindle capable of the same 7,000 RPM speed and 10 HP power rating, enabling simultaneous two-sided machining operations. The SV-32 incorporates dual tool carriers: a primary slide configuration paired with a 10-position motorized upper turret housing live tooling capabilities at 5,700 RPM with 3.7 kW power, plus a rotary tool on the slide operating at 6,000 RPM. This configuration allows two simultaneous cutting tools to optimize complex machining sequences. The machine features 8 standard CNC axes with optional upgrades to 9 axes, providing enhanced flexibility for intricate part geometries. Controlled by a Fanuc 16i-TB CNC system, the SV-32 delivers precision with 0.01-degree C-axis indexing accuracy.
