The SUMMIT HTM 5H is a robust Horizontal Boring Mill engineered with heavily-ribbed, heat-treated, and stress-relieved closed grain cast iron construction. Key specifications include a 4.90-inch spindle size (with a #50 taper) and variable spindle speeds ranging from 10 to 1,800 RPM. The machine features extensive travel capabilities: X-Horizontal Travel of Table up to 118 inches, Y-Vertical Travel of Head at 78 inches, and W-Axis Spindle Travel of 31 1/2 inches. The unit includes a built-in rotary table (70" x 73") with 360° positioning and can accommodate a maximum workpiece weight of 26,500 lbs. Driven by a 40 HP or 50 HP motor, it offers a rapid traverse of 118 IPM. Standard features enhance precision and operation, including ballscrews on all linear axes, multi-axis electronic digital readout (EDO), inch/metric switchable readout, an automatic timed lubrication system, and hydraulic axis clamping.
