The TOS KURIM FU (Q) 125 Horizontal Boring Mill is a CNC-controlled machine featuring a Y-Vertical Travel of the Head of 49.21 inches. Constructed with main machine parts made from GG 25 castings, it ensures high stability. Key technical features include a boring spindle diameter of 160 mm with 1000 mm travel, supported by thermal stabilization and headstock balancing. The machine utilizes linear guideways in the X, Y, and Z axes with automatic lubrication. Direct measuring is achieved using absolute HEIDENHAIN linear scales, which are air pressurized. The spindle taper is ISO 50, operating within a speed range of 20–3,000 rpm. It delivers a maximum spindle power (S1 – 100%) of 37 kW and a maximum spindle torque of 2,000 Nm. Additionally, the machine includes an ISO 50 automatic tool exchange and can be equipped with a right-angle head type IC10. This right-angle head also utilizes an ISO 50 spindle taper, offers the same speed range (20–3,000 rpm), and power (37 kW), but provides a maximum torque of 1,200 Nm, with indexing around the ram axis of ±180 degrees by 2.5 degrees increments.
