Technical Description

The TOS VARNSDORF WRD 13 MC is a versatile CNC Horizontal Boring Mill, controlled by a HEIDENHAIN iTNC 530 HSCI system. It features a 5.12 inch (130 mm) spindle diameter with a speed range of 10–3,000 RPM and an ISO 50 / ISO 50 BIG+ taper. Key travel specifications include an expansive Column longitudinal travel (X) from 3,000 mm up to 20,000 mm, a Headstock vertical travel (Y) up to 3,000 mm (118.11 inches), and a RAM stroke (Z travel) of 700 mm. The work spindle traverse (W) is 650 mm. The machine delivers high dynamics with a rapid traverse of 21,000 mm/min on the X axis and 10,000 mm/min on the Y, Z, and W axes. Power is supplied by a main motor rated at 37 kW (S1), providing a maximum torque of 2,535 Nm (S1) at the spindle.
