Technical Description

The TOS VARNSDORF WRD 150 DUO is a high-precision CNC horizontal boring mill designed for the line-coordinate drilling, boring, milling, and thread cutting of large and heavy workpieces. This unique machine configuration operates as two independent WRD 150 Q machines sharing a common workspace, allowing for permanent machining with two independent 150 mm spindles simultaneously from both sides, or the processing of two distinct parts. Key technical specifications include dual 150 mm spindle diameters, a RAM stroke (Z1, Z2) of 1,000 mm, and a spindle stroke (W1, W2) of 800 mm. The maximum spindle speed is 2,500 RPM, delivering substantial torque (estimated at 2,437 Nm for S1). The machine ensures high rigidity and stable machining under significant loads, further enhanced by a spindle precision enhancement function to compensate for temperature expansion.
