A+Technical Description
The WEISSER UNIVERTOR AE is a modular horizontal finishing machine engineered for economic cutting to length and precise centering of workpieces. This dual-spindle configuration delivers 5,000 RPM with 10 HP per spindle, enabling efficient material removal and finishing operations. The machine features a robust one-piece construction made of high-quality grey cast iron with a heavily ribbed machine base, ensuring superior damping properties and first-class accuracy behavior. Equipped with an integrated WEISSER pick-up system, the UNIVERTOR AE eliminates the need for separate loaders or robot solutions, enabling automatic loading and precise workpiece positioning. The centric clamping system provides powerful, reliable fixing of raw parts for subsequent machining steps. The machine accommodates workpieces up to 150 mm in diameter and 600 mm in length, with maximum feed forces of 5 kN on both X and Z axes at 40% CDF. The 12-station tool turret with electric drive and standard VDI interface supports spindle, milling, drilling, and deep drilling operations on shaft ends. This configuration allows for centering and spindling capabilities, making it ideal for complete shaft machining when combined with other UNIVERTOR series machines. The machine supports various transport systems or NC-shuttle loading options, enhancing production flexibility. Designed specifically for the automotive and metalworking industries, the UNIVERTOR AE delivers high productivity with excellent accuracy for batch production at minimal cost per part. Its conceptual advantages include deep hole drilling capabilities and seamless integration into complete machining workflows.
