Technical Description

The YCM GT-250B is a CNC turning center built on an ultra-stable, single-pour MeehaniteĀ® box-type base structure designed for high-productivity turning and milling operations. Featuring a robust 20 HP main spindle capable of speeds up to 3,500 RPM, the machine accommodates workpieces with a maximum turning diameter of 13.78 inches and turning length of 22.28 inches, utilizing a 10-inch chuck. The machine is equipped with a FANUC CNC control system and a 10-station turret for tool management, enabling single-point simultaneous cutting. Its two-axis configuration provides X-axis travel of 7.68 inches and Z-axis travel of 20.28 inches, both with rapid traverse rates of 787 IPM and cutting feedrates up to 394 IPM. The spindle nose features an A2-8 ASA configuration with a 3.46-inch through-hole and 75mm draw bar opening, accommodating various workholding and tooling requirements. The machine's rigid box-way design with oversize hardened and ground ways, combined with thermally stable architecture and effective spindle headstock ventilation, minimizes structural distortion and thermal growth for precision machining of tough materials. Advanced features include pressure sensors for hydraulic chuck monitoring and optional automatic tool length measurement and bar feeder systems. Built from heavy-duty MEEHANITEĀ® castings and high-torque hydraulic systems, the GT-250B is engineered for demanding roughing operations and high-volume production environments.
