Technical Description
The ZMMBG CU 1250 X 4000 is a heavy-duty manual engine lathe designed for precision turning of large workpieces. It features a maximum swing over bed of 51.97 inches (1320 mm) and a center distance of 157.48 inches (4000 mm), providing ample capacity for extended turning operations. The lathe is equipped with a robust spindle bore of 6.10 inches (155 mm), allowing for the passage of large-diameter bars or shafts. The main drive delivers 29.57 HP (22 kW), ensuring strong performance for demanding machining tasks. The spindle speed is variable, with a range up to 1,000 RPM, enabling optimal cutting conditions for a variety of materials and applications. The swing over cross slide is 37.01 inches (940 mm), offering flexibility for complex setups and tooling arrangements. The machine is built with a wide bed (700 mm) and two bed guide ways for enhanced stability and accuracy. The headstock provides 24 spindle speed steps, while the feed system offers 160 feed options, supporting both longitudinal and cross feeds with ranges from 0.032 to 38.9 mm/rev and 0.016 to 19.45 mm/rev, respectively. The lathe supports a wide range of thread types, including metric (0.5–480 mm), inch (60–1/16 TPI), module (0.125–120), and DP (240–1/4). The carriage features a cross slide travel of 525 mm and a top slide travel of 270 mm, while the tailstock includes a quill diameter of 125 mm, Morse No. 6 taper, and 260 mm of travel. The machine is equipped with manual transmission, a quick-change toolpost, a 3-jaw chuck, spindle dead center, coolant system, and comprehensive safety guards. The total weight for the 4000 mm center distance model is approximately 8,450 kg, ensuring rigidity and vibration damping during operation.
