The ACRA 1640GCY Manual Lathe is a high-precision gap bed engine lathe engineered for demanding turning applications. Featuring a robust one-piece cast iron base, this lathe delivers exceptional rigidity and stability, minimizing vibration for accurate machining. The bed ways and headstock gears are hardened and ground, ensuring long-term durability and smooth operation. The spindle is supported by three bearings, enabling smooth high-speed turning, with a speed range of 33 to 2,000 RPM across 16 steps. Powered by a 7.5 HP spindle motor, the lathe provides ample torque for efficient cutting across a wide range of materials. The Camlock D1-6 spindle includes a 2-1/32" bore, accommodating various workholding options. The lathe is equipped with a one-shot lubrication system for the apron and slideways, simplifying maintenance and extending component life.
