Specifications & Market Value

Technical Description
The Chevalier FCL-1028 is a 10 in x 28 in CNC slant-bed lathe sold by Chevalier Machinery in the early 2000s. It is built on a 45-degree Meehanite cast-iron base with linear guideways on the X and Z axes, driven by Fanuc AC digital servos on ballscrews. The A2-8 spindle nose carries a 10 in power chuck and passes bar up to 3.031 in. A 30 hp spindle motor drives the spindle through a V-belt to 3,500 rpm, with spindle runout held to 0.0001 in. Z-axis travel is 30 in and X-axis travel is 9.44 in, with rapids of 787 ipm (X) and 945 ipm (Z). A hydraulic 10-station turret indexes to the next tool in 0.3 seconds and through 180 degrees in 1.3 seconds. The tailstock body travels 24.6 in with a 4.7 in quill stroke. The machine occupies a 142 x 71 in footprint and weighs 11,000 lb.
