2003 CHEVALIER FCL2460D CNC LATHES
Specifications & Market Value

Technical Description
The Chevalier FCL-2460 is a 24 in x 60 in flat-bed lathe from Chevalier's LathePlus line, which combines a precision manual lathe with digital readout, power feed, JOG and teach modes and full CNC capability. Built-in canned cycles calculate rough and finish passes for threads, tapers, radii and contours without separate toolpath programming. A frequency drive gives infinitely variable spindle speeds from 40 to 2,000 rpm and holds constant surface speed as the diameter changes. The machine swings 24 in over the bed and 14.5 in over the cross-slide, with an 11.7 in center height and 60 in between centers. The spindle nose is A1-8 or D1-8, and the spindle has a 3.15 in bore with a 1/20 taper. The bed ways are hardened and ground with automatic lubrication, and the hardened and ground X and Z ballscrews are anchored by precision bearings, with accuracy verified by laser calibration. The tailstock has a 3 in quill with 6 in of travel, and a hydraulic tailstock and a programmable 8-station vertical turret are offered as options. Chevalier gives an approximate machine weight of 9,000 lb.
