2010 DOOSAN PUMA 240 CNC LATHES
Specifications & Market Value

Technical Description
The Doosan PUMA 240 is a mid-size two-axis CNC turning center from the PUMA 240 series, which Daewoo introduced and Doosan continued after taking over the machine tool business in 2005. The series uses a slant bed with box guideways, a 550 mm swing over bed and 350 mm maximum turning diameter, and a 12-station turret with 25 mm OD tooling and 40 mm boring bars. The series was built in three spindle sizes: the A type with a 6-inch chuck, 53 mm spindle bore and 6,000 rpm; the B type with an 8-inch chuck, 76 mm bore and 4,500 rpm; and the C type with a 10-inch chuck, 90 mm bore and 3,500 rpm. Maximum turning length is 439, 562 or 550 mm depending on type, and a long-bed PUMA 240L version was also built. Milling (M) and sub-spindle (MS) versions add a rotary-tool turret and second spindle. Standard controls were the Fanuc 21i-T and the Daewoo/Doosan Fanuc-i series, and the machines are used for general shaft, flange and bar work in job shops and production cells.
