Technical Description
The Doosan PUMA 2600MS is a 10-inch class horizontal CNC turning center from the PUMA 2100/2600/3100 series, in the standard-bed version with a live-tool turret, a C-axis main spindle and a sub-spindle for complete machining of both part ends. Swing over the bed is 780 mm (30.7 in), with 630 mm (24.8 in) over the saddle. Maximum turning diameter is 376 mm (14.8 in) and maximum turning length is 760 mm (29.9 in). Bar working capacity is 76 mm (3.0 in). The main spindle runs to 3,500 rpm (belt-driven) with an A2-8 spindle nose and an 86 mm (3.4 in) through hole, driven by a 22/18.5 kW (29.5/24.8 hp) motor. The sub-spindle has an A2-5 nose, runs to 4,500 rpm with a 62 mm (2.4 in) through hole and a 7.5/5.5 kW motor, and moves on its own B axis over 830 mm (32.7 in). Axis travels are 260 mm (10.2 in) in X and 830 mm (32.7 in) in Z, with rapid traverse of 30 m/min on both axes. The 12-station BMT turret (24-position index option) indexes in 0.15 seconds and runs rotary tools to 5,000 rpm on a 5.5 kW (7.4 hp) motor, with 25 mm OD shanks and 50 mm boring bars. The machine occupies 3,600 x 1,863 mm (141.7 x 73.3 in) with a height of 1,900 mm (74.8 in) and weighs 6,000 kg (13,228 lb).
