Specifications & Market Value

Technical Description
The Doosan PUMA 400L is the long-bed version of the PUMA 400 series of heavy-duty 2-axis CNC turning centers. The series is offered in A, B and C spindle versions: the A version has a 12-inch chuck, 3,000 rpm and a 4.0-inch spindle bore; the B version has a 15-inch chuck, 2,000 rpm and a 5.2-inch bore; the C version has a 21-inch chuck, 1,500 rpm and a 7.1-inch bore. Spindle power is delivered through a two-speed gearbox, with 30-minute ratings of 22, 26 and 37 kW for the A, B and C versions. All versions share a 30.3-inch swing over the bed and a 23.2-inch swing over the saddle. On the L bed the maximum turning length is about 80 to 84 inches depending on version. The turret holds 12 tools on the A version and 10 base-holder tools on the B and C versions, with 60 mm boring bars and a 0.25-second index. A tailstock with a 120 mm quill and MT6 taper is standard. The L-bed machine occupies a floor space of 224.49 by 96.06 inches and stands 90.79 inches high. The PUMA 400 series is built on a box-way bed for heavy and interrupted cutting of shafts, rolls and large-diameter work. The series was later succeeded by the PUMA 4100.
