Technical Description
The Doosan PUMA TT2500SY is a twin-spindle, twin-turret CNC turning center with a Y-axis on the upper turret, built for high-volume production of medium-size chucked parts. Both the left and right spindles carry 10-inch chucks, run to 3,500 rpm and deliver 26 kW (35 hp) with 433 Nm of torque. The left spindle through-hole is 82 mm (3.23 inches) and the right spindle through-hole is 75 mm. Each of the two 12-station BMT-65 turrets supports live tooling at every station, with 7.5 kW (10 hp) rotary tools running to 5,000 rpm. The upper turret has 120 mm of Y-axis travel (plus or minus 60 mm), and both spindles have C-axis contouring. Maximum turning diameter is 15.35 inches with the upper turret and 11.8 inches with the lower turret, and maximum turning length is 13.78 inches. The machine is built on a 45-degree slant bed with linear roller guides. It is 87.01 inches wide and 97.64 inches high and weighs 27,998 lb. Current units use the FANUC 0i-Plus control with DN Solutions' Easy Operation Package. Standard equipment includes a programmable parts catcher, parts conveyor and twin tool setters.
